Ammon Senior Portraits
Thursday, May 27, 2010
Ammon is the brother in law of one of my good friends. I'd never met him before the shoot and was very surprised to see that he looks absolutely nothing like his big brother. Actually, he reminds me of a young movie star, only I can't quite put my finger on which one.
Anyone?
He brought his guitar and played it for me a little, which was cool.
We hung out at a cool place with lots of great old stuff. Love that old stuff.
And speaking of old stuff, Ammon had a great jacket which has been a traditional photo prop in his family. They call it "the old man jacket", and I thought it was retro and fun and very groovy.
I don't think Ammon was too excited to have his senior portraits taken, and only came because his mom made him. Ammon, if you're reading this, I hope it wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be. You were a great sport and it was fun meeting you. I hope you like your pictures!
Congrats on your graduation and best of luck with everything!
Camree Senior Portraits
Saturday, May 22, 2010
Lovely Miss Camree came from about 50 miles away to let me take her senior pictures. She is the niece/cousin of a couple of my neighbors/friends. She was so easy to photograph, just natural and relaxed in front of the camera. We ended up with so many nice photos, I had a hard time choosing just a few images to put on her blog post.
But these are some of my favorites.
One of the fun things about Camree is that she totally loves horses. And since it just so happens that I have a few horses lying around at my place, we recruited one - good old Bo - to help with a few pictures.
We had too much fun. Have I mentioned that I love photographing seniors?

Kami Senior Portraits
Monday, May 17, 2010
I've decided that I really love doing senior portraits. All the seniors I've photographed have been such cool young people. And they're cooperative! (Well, except some of the boys.) :)
Also, with seniors I feel like I can really go for it in Photoshop - fresh, fun and funky editing is so much fun.
This is Kami, she's the older sister of one of my daughter's best friends. She was so fun to photograph. These are a few of my favorites from our afternoon together.
Dallin's 4 Year Old Portraits
My good friend Jenna's big boy had a birthday recently.
Guess how old he is?
Nope. He's.....
Four and funny.
Guess what Dallin loves?
Yep.
And we took this not too long before Mother's Day, so I thought it would be nice to give his mom a flower.
We went to the little wash near their house and got some fun shots. There was a gorgeous, blooming forsythia and a fun tree house.
I always seem to like the silly, unusual shots and faces. This one was my favorite of the day.
Cute, huh. You gotta love those big blue eyes.
